Consumer Reports creates VIRUSES?

In order to truly test antiVirus and spyware software - Consumer Reports wanted to truly test the Software programs ability to stop a virus or spyware that it they have not been exposed to. Wait isn't that what software is supposed to do? So why is McAfee upset? Could it be because their software did poorly???HAHAHA Hmmmm......Tell me what you think

I am afraid I have to agree with the antivirus companies: Consumer Reports could have done a lot of damage to their own computer systems or even to other computer systems, including medical and even military systems and networks, with their efforts.
When it comes to technological security this is not a do-it-yourself job that can be simply done with a £19,95 DVD or book: You can do some REAL SERIOUS DAMAGE if you don't know what you are doing, and unfortunately that is possibly the case for Consumer Reports.
Besides, they don't have to start their own viruses; there are more than enough of them out there.
So if Consumer Reports REALLY want to test antivirus programmes they should simply leave that to true professionals, preferrably someone with a fail-safe plan to recover the computers in case of disaster, yet prevent it from getting out onto the internet.
